Compression-type Fittings
ACFR® uses compression type fitings that is very similar to ACSR. The length of dead-end clam/splice are 1.5times longer than ACSR's in general. No special tools or equipment is required. Notable difference is that soft aluminum buffer tube (or bottom layer of aluminum, depending on design) is used to grip the stranded carbon fiber core.Installer shall consult with hardware manufacturers for their recommendation and installation procedures.
